Radon Gas

Radon Gas

Radon is a naturally occurring gas that occurs due to the natural breakdown of minerals in the earth and has been proven to cause lung cancer.  The EPA estimates that 21,000 lung cancer deaths caused by radon occur in the US each year (https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2015-05/documents/hmbuygud.pdf).  The EPA recommends that radon levels at 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/l) should be addressed by some form of remediation.  Radon levels change from year to year and it is important to test for radon on a regular basis.  Our home inspectors are certified to test for radon and can test your home for you now.
